Needing to avoid them used to mean that I just ate a cheesestick or pepperoni while the others munched the traditional family treats.
It was rather sad, to be honest. I was often wistful about not getting those same treats. Foolish girl, I am.

I mean, what’s NOT to love about melty, golden, bubbly cheese? With only 6 ingredients total, it’s an easy recipe to whip up anytime. It only takes 25 minutes total start to finish, and the recipe is easily doubled or tripled.
You can bake this on a pizza pan, parchment lined cookie sheet, or use a cast iron pan. I love my cast iron for making this, as it is non stick and helps give the garlic cheesy bread that great crunchy factor so many of us miss on the ketogenic diet. When fully baked, it will have a more breadish texture and not fall apart.
Some other ways to enjoy this garlic cheesy bread:
- as a salad topping
- with soft cooked eggs, to dip into the yolks.
- as a pizza crust! Simply add your favorite toppings and bake an additional 5 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesean cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions:
- Mix all ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
- Pour onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
- Shape as desired, circle or rectangle.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20-22 minutes, until cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
- Cool slightly before cutting and serving.
