Rich and decedent low carb chocolate mousse without the guilt! 4 ingredients and just a couple steps will give you smooth, creamy, chocolatey goodness!
When I need a chocolate fix in the past, I would grab some chocolate ice cream. Some weeks, it would be a nightly fix. I was a sugar addict, no doubt about it.
After following the keto lifestyle for over a year now, the sugar cravings are almost all gone. Being fully honest, I still get the “give me chocolate and no one gets hurt” moments, but they are fewer and farther in between attacks.
Seeing a rich and creamy chocolate mousse at a local family restaurant the other night nearly made me cave in. I mean, rich chocolate layers, light, airy and oh so spoonable. My loving hubby ordered it and shared a couple bites with me, so I could have it without going overboard.
I knew I had to recreate this at home, keto style.
This low carb chocolate mousse was created.
It’s simple and easy to make, and only needs 4 ingredients. Heavy cream, powdered erythritol, sugar free chocolate chips and peppermint extract. That’s all. 4 ingredients, a couple steps and you are ready to satisfy your chocolate craving without the guilt!
You can make it with or without the mint extract, depending on your mood. Both taste great! Let’s get this low carb chocolate mousse going, shall we? I mean, I want chocolate and I want it NOW!

- Fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream and continue to gently fold until completely combined.
- Pour 1/2 mixture into cups. Chill for at least an hour.
